Newbie from MS!
Hey all, Just wondering, I just installed a magnaflow dual exhaust for my 04 ram 1500. Was that a good choice of exhaust? Plus I would like some feedback about performance headers which will be going on next. If you have any comments, they are very welcome! Thanks
nice mod -
are you happy with it?
thats number 1, if you like it, good choice.
I have a FM Super 40 SI/DO, i love it, hadnt heard the magnaflows, other than sound clip.
I'd research headers if i were you, i thought about getting them, but think there are better ways to invest the money. A lot of reviews i have read, indicate that they dont make enough of a difference for the cost; you gonna be racing your truck?

I have FM on. Dont remeber what series. I have Gibson headers on my truck also. I DO NOT like them. They arent true headers and they cost me alot of money. The main thing i wanted was more aggressive sound and it did not help
From what I am hearing, headers arent going to do me much good? Like I said before, I am down here in mississippi, and sound reins supreme, and my magnaflows sound great wide open, but very quiet in the lower ranges. I was hoping that the headers would help, along with lopping of the cats, which, is very common around here!
MAgna flows are one of the quiter exhausts to begin with that you can get but on the flip side they are more of a performance exhaust than the flowmasters. Headers are a toss up. if you can find some quality ones you'll be set. I haven't heard anything good from gibson headers so I'd avoid them. And if you really want to rein supreme invest in some electronic cut-outs so you can flip a switch and run straight headers when you want to be the loudest truck on the road.
