I'm more concerned with what size level kit to put on my truck? I've read plenty saying that a 1.5" leveling kit does not require new shocks, but stepping up to the 2" and 2.5" leveling kits do. So my question before I go purchase a leveling kit is, what size LEVELS the truck? Does anyone out there know the rake of the truck so I get the right size? I don't want to buy 1.5" kit and the truck still not be level. I'll spend the extra on shocks if I need new ones with a 2.5" lift, but is that too much lift for my truck?

I drive an 03 1500 QC V6 2wd, and I'm only looking to fit some 31x10.50xR15 BFG A/T underneath for a little better look and to get around my deer lease.

WHen I had the 1.5 on my truck it was ALMOST level. I would go with the 2.0 or 2.5 leveling kit, when I had the 1.5 when I hit a good bump, it would max out the springs. I would definately get some new pro-comp shocks or something of the sort.

Thanks for your help, I'm thinking I'll go 2 or 2.5", I've had both the pro comps and the ranchos on a past truck (Toyota pickup 4x4) and I've been happy with both. I'm going to get whatever I get on all 4 corners, longer ones for the front and replace the stock ones in the back with new stiffer ones to match the front. I'll have this done in the next month or so, and I'll post the pics when I do.
