so i looked on the superchips website and it says that i need the 3715 programmer. now i was wondering how well this will improve my gas milage if i were to not bag it. And can you run it on 87 octane?

 

There is an 87 octane mode. 87 mode, tow mode and performance mode (91 octane and higher). Allows you to reset and check engine codes and set up for different tire sizes. I have one that I'm going to sell so I can go with a custom flash. PM me if interested.

 

Hemifever, I thought you could only use them for one truck (Vin #)??
I'm curious as I may be in the market for one as well.

If you program a truck it VIN locks it. If you program it back stock it will unlock the tuner. You can't program another till the original truck is back to stock. In other words, as long as the person you're buying it from has programmed their truck back stock you can tune yours.

 

Just be careful if your buying off of ebay or something like that. lots of them say that the 3715 is for the 4.7l 5.2l and 5.9l but it don't list the 5.7 and for 03 thats the one it uses. also some are used and some are new. used ones you won't know if the truck is turned back to stock or not.
