Default Stock Stereo's

Looked around on the forum here, couldn't find out the info I need...I have a 2002 Dodge Ram SLT 1500 4.7l 4x4 yaddad yadda infinity sound system...now im looking to take out my stock cd reciever and install a new one with sub outputs and sub controls etc as i am going to put a sub under my back seat w/ an amp.

NOW...I am kind of clueless about the best way to go about removing the stock stereo since i cant really see a way to remove it by eye...and im wondering where is the best place to run the sub and amp wires through my truck? hopefully someone has tackled this before...any help is appreciated.

the entire dash must come off and there are two or maybe three screws on top of unit, but you must pull off the black trim which is basically entire dash there around air controls and all any other ?s just ask i have done myself took about 15 min tops just be carefully not to break or lose screws it is a tight fit

have someone do it. yes it might cost a 100 or so but it will cost twice that to fix what you might break if you not sure what your doing.
good luck.

Download the 2003 FSM, it will apply in this case to your truck. One screw on the dash behind the little hanger thing to the right of the middle. Gently but firmly pull and it will come loose, just make sure you don't pull your cig lighter socket wire out. Then it's just 4 screws holding the stereo in place.
