Default speaker and amp set up?

wondering what i should do with my truck. im kinda in a whole what to do. o yeah the money isnt really a problem so dont use that to judge witch set up is the best. just witch one would sound the best. i went to best buy and the guy there witch had alot of experiance with systems not like the people that usally work there, that have no clue what there doing. he said to get 6x9s in the front powered with a amp and no speakers in the back or dont power them with the amp. but im going to to get speakers in the back im pretty sure i guess now im just wondering if i should power them in the back or not.

Default RE: radio?

Just got my ram on friday and i want to change the factory stereo. Now i just glanced over the dash and stuff but cant find any screws to remove the console. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated. Gonna try this weekend to figure it out. Thanks.

did mine this weekend, well new deck...there is one screw above the hanger thing (to the right of the cup holders) and that part of the dash comes off reather easily and its 4 screws to hold the deck in, real easy install..., ran my wires installed and amp and 12" sub...now the stock speakers soudnd alright with the stock deck, they sound like COMPLETE **** with the alpine deck i have...to get new speakers you are looking at a re-wire job as there is an internal amp, i am suggesting taht you just cut the ones in the fron and forget abotu them...they are useless anyways, and just buy 4 high quality speakers for the doors....i was quoted (in canadian funds) thats its about a 200$ install fee for a re-wire...since i dont want to tear my truck apart for something like that.

im runing this:
Alpine CDA-9856 http://www.alpine-usa.com/images/pro...s/cda-9856.jpg
a 300 Watt Clarion amp (on sale + its just an amp...)
and I HAD a 12" MTX sub thunder 4500 but the damn thing'd dual voice coil is hooped after the SECOND day i had it installed and since it was a clearnace item (and i can see why) im pretty much **** outta luck...so im gonna look into buy a quality sub and by quality i mean ALPINE...and soon i will get 4 alpine speakers, probably type-s as they have built in tweetes that are rational within the speakers...i may or may not add another sub...i am not sure.

i find them to be good, i got the installed today...they sound awesome...the whole system is great....at a good price too, like 900 bucks for new amp, deck, 4 speakers, sub, wires and re-wire.
