Leveling My Truck
Alright everyone I'm in the process of buying either coil spacers or new springs to level my truck. I'm not getting a full on lift till later in 07. So I have some time. So far I've seen 1.5" coil spacers and 2.5" springs. If I was to get either one would I have to go in and get everything alligned or whatever needs to be done if I was to do this? Also what IN YOUR OPINION would you want to level your truck with. Springs or spacers. Thanks.
First off, yes, you will have to get the front end aligned once you lift the front. If you don't, the ride will suffer and your tires will wear very unevenly. Second, if you plan on lifting the whole truck later, I would do new coils. The spacers are fine, too, and I had a set of them on my old jeep, but springs are the way to go if you've got the money... in my opinion that is. I'm also assuming that your truck is 2WD and not a 4x4.
