Default power breaking techniques

I have an 06 QC Hemi 4x4 with 20's lsd and 3.92, and it seems everytime I try to powerbrake i get a worse launch than if I were to just floor it. It's actually bad enough to the point where my friend's f150 got me by a length from 0 to 35. Am I not letting the rpms get high enough or what? I'd really like to know so I can show my friend what a dog his truck is compared to mine. I'm sure if we would have gotten to higher speeds I would have had him, since I was pulling really hard, but I want a good launch to smoke him the whole way.

What RPM did you get to by powerbraking it? If the converter doesn't let it spin high enough it'll just fall on it's face when you let off the brakes.

I have LSD and 3.92's my truck gets out the dig quick. I powerbrake and run it up to about 3,100 and release and hold on.

Shouldn't you hold the brake and hold your rpm's to right before your tires spin? I think it makes it worse if you are sitting there with your tires spinning waiting on the start. If my tires are already spinning when I launch, my speedometer would reach 35 way before my truck!!
