Default RE: Got a question about Diesel Rams?

If u plug the truck in...the heat comes a lot faster. You have to pay extra for the remote starter on a diesel because of the plugs. It has to wait a few seconds after turnig the key to on to fire. The difference between diesel and gas engines: diesel motor more expensive, but it gets better gas mileage, less maintenance costs, without plugging it in takes longer to warm up than a gas engine. But diesel fuel costs more (which doesn't make any sense because it costs less to manufacture) and diesels are louder. (try ordering a coffee at the drive thru with your duramax/older cummins running) Just my opinion...my fleet at work: pickups, box trucks, roll off container trucks and a mack semi are diesel while I drive a gas truck. These are just things that I noticed over the last 15 years Hope it helps
