Default Shocks???

I'm sure the question has been asked before, but I'm gonna ask anyway. I've been looking at replacing the stock shocks. The stock shocks seem to be alittle bouncey if that makes any sense (every time I hit bumps). I've been looking at Bilsteins. I'm curious if they would be my best choice? Prices are ranging from $259/4 (at shox.com) to $325/4 at other sites. Is this about right? Oh yeah, I have a 4.7 2WD Ram 1500.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

I have an 03 4x4 1500 and I just put bilstein heavy duties on mine and love them. Made a huge difference. I got them from shockwarehouse for $264 with free shipping. If you don't see them listed for an '06, give'em a call.

I just ordered my second set of Bilsteins from Shockwarehouse.com ($250 with free shipping - they had a special). First set have been on for 70k, and are getting a little weak. I would highly recommend them.

Thanks guys. Also started searching around site and others are saying Bilsteins are the way to go too. Hopefully they are easily changed out. Can't imagine they would be hard to do.

It took me a couple of hours to do mine. It was my first ever shock change so I took my time. But it was pretty easy. The front were way easier than the rear. Doesn't make since, but it's true.

Ok. Here's a question. I have an 02 1500 4x4 that's been leveled and I'm having a helluva time trying to find a part number for a shock that's about 2" longer than stock. Does anyone have bilsteins on a leveled out 4x4 that knows the answer to this?

I think if you go to the shockwarehouse link posted and call them they will be able to help you the most. They know shocks.
