I have a 2002 Ram 1500 regular cab 8ft bed 4.7 L engine 35gallon tank. truck has about 48K miles on it. Lately I've noticed that sometimes when I go to start the truck from cold, I will get a gasoline smell in the cab of the truck. I dont run the truck everyday because I ride my Harley to work when I can to save money so the truck might sit for a day or 2. or it might sit all day and I run around with it in the evening. Any clue guys? Has anyone else had this problem? I dont see/ notice any leaks and the smell goes away in a short time.

 

I'm not sure but everytime I refill the tank I have a gas smell in my truck... It goes way in a few minutes though with the window down.
