can our Hemi's tow a 747?
just like the title says.. cause a VW can tow a747. http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...d.php?t=348762
Hardest part of the whole task would be getting the plane to roll. I'll put money the 4.7 would do it too. When I worked for United, the tow tractor relied mostly on wieght and gearing. Oddly enough the two things they modified on the VW. Still looks pretty inpressive though.

With the right gearing, I could tow a 747 with my lawn mower. It's all how it's built....

It's deceiving, once it's rolling it gets alot easier. Any 4x4 could pull a 747 in low gear.

707s are waaaaaaay smaller than 747s. i want to find more pics of that 747 though... i have never seen that b52 twin nacelle set up on a 747. that is pretty intersting. the push back trucks or ukes we have weigh 58k and 60k each. pushing a full weight 717(kc135r) the truck will struggle a little bit, and thats only 395k the ukes have 5.11 gears in one and something slightly better in the other and 1200 ft lbs of torque each.
okay, upon further research. that aiplane weighs 109k. its completely gutted, and those arent full engines. the twin nacelle design was taken from a b52 in a boneyard. sorry to bust everyones bubble.
