Default 07' Ram tailgate wing

I had to take that stupid wing off the tailgate of my truck so that my shell would fit. Well now there are four holes in my tailgate. Anyone know of a tailgate protector that will hang low enough to cover it???

Oh man. Now you have done it. By removing the wing you must have lost like 50 horse power!

That so called "wing" is a tailgate protector...it's saved my *** several times while hauling construction items. It does seem like it may cause issues if using a shell. I've seen people rhino line/line-x that part of the tailgate so as it covers the holes and still is scratch resistant.

Does any one know if that tailgate wing will fit an 05' Ram? If so would Kendawg be willing to sell ?

Kendawg,
I just got my BAK industries rail caps and tailgate cap in from JC Whitney and I'll tell you what, it looks like the tailgate protector is going to cover the holes left when you remove the spoiler!
I'll be taking mine off tomorrow afternoon to install my rail caps and the tailgate cap, after I'm done I'll post whether or not it covers the holes and if I can I'll post a pic or two.
*BONUS* right now JC Whitney has free shipping and deffered payment for 90 days with no interest

Okay it will cover the holes up, now I've got the bed caps on and I don't need the tailgate cap anymore, I bought it thinking I would have to remove the spoiler to get my tonneau on, but adding the bedcaps raised it just enough to not have to forgo the spoiler.
Anyone looking for a tailgate cap for an 05-07 I'll sell it to you for $22.00 and you pay shipping or I'll just return it to JCW.
let me know if yer interested.

Dodge also sells a tailgate protector. It comes with a Dodge bedliner, but you can purchase it seperately.
If anyone has a black tailgate with wing, I'd trade you for my wing-less tailgate (LI,NY)

Mine is a soft tonneau, not hard. I don't think I've ever heard of a company suppling one with a hard tonneau, sounds like a good deal though.
