Default Sirius Antenna Placement

I have a 2005 Regular Cab and I have to mount the antenna for my Sirius radio. Where is the best place to put the antenna where it, and the wires, are hidden (where it will work properly as well)? Thanks in advance!

I placed mine on the dashboard, in the upper left hand corner just above the VIN # plate. If you get one of those non-slip pads and cut it the size of the antenna it will keep it from sliding around. Then run the wire up inside the plastic trim and down underneath the dash panels to the radio. Works great, you can hardly notice it, and it keeps it from ultimately scratching your paint on your roof.
My reception is great and out of all the vehicles I have installed my Sirius in it works and looks the best. I will take some pictures later and post them if I can.

mine sits centered on the hood as close to the windshield as i could get it. it has a magnet that holds it in place. the wire runs along under the hood with some quick ties to the drivers side. i then ran it through the fire wall. opted not to put it on the roof due to the running of the wire. at my driving position i don't see the antenna because the windshield wipers are in the way. has worked great for about 2 years now.

Although i don't have Sirius, but XM, they installed the antenna on the right side, front of the roof.
The wires were then ran along the edges. Hope this helps.

The major advantage to installing an aftermarket Sirius antenna to sit in the corner of your dash is that it won't cause paint scratches, whereas a magnetic stick on set on the hood or roof could collect dirt and scratch the paint.

I added a thin layer of clear silicone on the bottom of my magnetic SIRIUS antenna when I mounted it on my wifes van, makes it hard to steal and keeps any "grunge" from getting under it.

Damn, I mounted mine on the drivers side of the roof and ran the wires throught the pillar trim, if I would have known that it worked well on the dash I would have done that....didnt think it would pick up signal well....whoops.

The best place is above the third brake light.... It isnt that hard to put it there. I have mine mounted there and never loose signal (unless i go under a roof. Run the wire under your headliner and behind you pillar... best signal and hidden too
