LPG Conversion on Hemi
I hear a lot of our overseas members mentioning that they run on LPG. How much does a conversion like this run, and what are the performance impacts/mileage costs? Not planning on doing it any time soon, just curious to learn more about it as a possible future change if petroleum skyrockets.
OK, looked it up. It's Liquified Petroleum Gas. Here is a link:

Propane is just one of the many fossil fuels that are included in the liquefied petroleum (LP) gas family. Because propane is the type of LP-gas most commonly used in the United States, "propane" and "LP-gas" are often used synonymously. The chemical formula for propane is C3H8.
I know propane is the gas you're talking about and part of the family, but LPG is liquefied petroleum (LP) gas (answer to question asked by ringwraith)

LPG is produced as a by product from refining oil into gasoline (or something like that). I think LPG still costs a bit, but it is suppose to be a bit friendlier to the environment.
The cost is around $2,000 but it will also run on gasoline at a flip of a Switch. In Canada the government will re-bate you up to $2,000 on your taes. Our government will give you nothing, and they probably don't even know about it yet. In Canada it's been in effect for 10 years now.
