Unhook battery after muffler install??
I looked through a lot of posts, but didn't find this answer...
Just had a Magnaflow cat back system installed today on my 06 Ram Hemi w/MDS (love it by the way!)
Would you recommend un hooking the battery for a bit so the computer can reprogram itself for the new exhaust set up?
Maybe this would help the F.I. mapping and the MDS???
Curious if anyone has tried it and noticed an improvement....
Thanks!

Unhooking the battery wont reset everything on the PCM, just some smaller items. To do a full reset, you have to....
1)Buckle drivers side buckle
2)Put key in and turn to the On position (don't start the truck)
3)After the 1st ring, the PCM has been reset, 2nd ring is the tranny reset
That's all there is to it.

DOH! I forgot the most important part.
1)Pull the PCM fuse
2)Buckle drivers side buckle

I have an 04' 1500 5.7 so it should work for you.

I disabled my "buckle your seat belt" warning bell, because it was driving me nuts!!!
With the "bing" still happen with you reset trip??
It didn't went I followed your previous instructions, but I never pulled the fuse. Will try it again now... but wondering if you know?
What's PCM? Is that the ECU?
Should I reset the tranny as well? Or is that for when you change gearing ratio etc?

the PCM is the ECU, it stands for the powertrain control module. I tried this last night and it acted just as described. the fuse is under to hood on the front driver's side, its fuse #23 on my '04 5.7L. I havent gotten to drive it yet to see if theres a difference but ill let you guys know.
when i got my exhaust done i asked teh guy and he said if you just shut teh truck off and then start it an dyou hear teh chimes then thats the comp. resetting itslelf anyways. i dont know if that was true but ive heard some peopel say you have to reset the module manually and some peopel say its fine to just leave it alone. going to teh dealership to get soem stuff done tommorow i will see what they say
