should i get my pipes run out the back or maybe turn both out the side behind the tire side by side 02 eodge ram 1500 5.9 i cant decide and he doing it tomorrow ill prob just flip a damn coin
i personally don't care for pipes straight out the back. it's just an outdated look.
i would just do a turn down after the muffler......it's cheaper, sounds better, and one less thing (tip(s)) to clean.
One more thought would be to have side exits in front of the rear wheels (there are a lot of different tip styles for side exits that are sweet). Almost did that on my GTO, but went with straights out the back. I must be old fashion because I still like and have straight out the back on my truck too. This question should be in the form of a poll (even though it is really a matter of personal preference). I like straights, Lukeca likes turn downs, others may like other things (like stacks...lol.). Question is what do you like? Maybe try going to a shop and have them put a couple of tips in place in the back of the truck. If you don't like it try something else (it's free and quick to do). Good luck in whatever you do.
you got a point but that prob wont get that deep sound i want
actually turn downs will be deeper. the more pipe you add, the more "muffled" the sound will be, and it actually lessens the sound.
i wish there was a tip 2 going in to 1 big tip
i see where you are going with that, but that would actually create resistance. why not just run a single-in, single-out muffler? then just one 3" pipe and then tip wherever you want it....that is if you only want one.
i've seen dual side exits that looked nice. two pipes run together all the way behind the tire (or even infront of the tire) with two tips to top it off. also seen this with one pipe.
