I've got the flowmaster on mine and I can barely tell when the MDS kicks in. I've heard a lot of people say that they can hear it and a lot saythey can't tell. I wonder if it could vary from truck to truck?!?!

 

Thats a good question.... Ok on my truck i cut off both resonators and put the flowmaster on it and dumped it straight out of the muffler.. After driving for a couple of weeks i went yesterday and had an aftermarket glass pack 22" resonator installed in front of my muffler to tone it down some.. I still have a good sound and it did help some when the MDS kicks in.. Thats all im doin for now im goin to wait i guess and see if anyone comes out with a system for these Hemi's with the MDS.

 

Is it much louder when you eliminate the tail pipe and just run a tip more or less from the new muffler?

My Magnaflow is pretty quiet until you step on it... around 2000rpm and up basically.

It's not annoying, but I am thinking about running the tip on the inside of the back tire....

 

So does anybody know why they don't put MDS in the mega cabs?? Too heavy???

 

the mega cabs are badged as 1500s but are really built on the 2500 frame. i dont know why they badged it as a 1500, maybe to appeal to people that wanted cab space but that thought a 2500 was automatically a work truck.
