Who would win?
When I was a Ford guy and the Ford debate waged against the new Hemi, I was amazed at the Lightning, you just can't beat a super charger unless you get displacement,. The SRT 10 has displacement.
A Lightning I suspect is a lot lighter than a Reg cab 2wd Hemi and rides lower, handels better and stock has the better wheal/tire combo, I'm sure a stock lightning is going to drive away from a 2wd hemi based upon the lightning has more H/P at higher RPM's, 330 cubes for the Ford and the extra 15 cubes for the hemi don't make up for the SC.
SS Chvey...thought they dided a long time ago...SS454

No I did not mean the 2006-2007 model year. I meant new compared to the 2000.. The HP rating went up considerably on the lightening between those years. Sorry I didn't make myself clear.. lol
what website? As far as I know the 99-02's came with 380 and are rated anywhere from 13.6-14.4 but alot of guys are turning faster numbers than that stock. Just race him and tell us how it goes.
I can say 100% the lightning will win.I have owned one and currently have a 04 reg cab hemi and my stock lightning would put bus lengths on it.I had mine tuned and added 2more lbs of boost and made 390hp and 475ft lbs of torque.I raced a reg cab hemi at my local track and he had n2o and other mods.We had about identical reaction times and I put 1 car on him through the 60ft and 2 more on him through the 1/8th.He ran a 8.78@81 qnd I ran a 8.45@84
gents, no comparision. the ford will win.i constantly race lightnings in my 1987 buick grand national putting 400 horses to the ground and they have no trouble kepping up with me.in the quarter mile. they are always on my rear bumper. granted if the truck could hook better i think it would be a dead even race. i toy with hemis and eat them alive. looking to see what the car will do against the srt 10. i will probably win because i have yet to see a srt 10 hook up on the street or track
You might have 400hp at the crank, but your rwhp is prolly around 300, and that throttle body spacer prolly brings your numbers down instead of up..Unless you got one of those carburrated hemis...LOL your about to get smoked...
ORIGINAL: 410 hp hemi
The 2000 Lightning has 360 stock hp and says on the website that it runs 14. 6 @ 97 mph in the 1/4.

This is a no brainer, the L will win. If you want to keep up with an L you need to boost.
I have both trucks, 04 SRT and a 05 Hemi. I had the jet chip, cat backand a functional ram air system, just did not have the headers. The Hemi with that config did not compare to the SRT and the SRT is just a bit quicker than a L. Trust me, there is no match here, you will get your rear handed to you.
You also do not have 410HP with your mods. Probably around 370-385HP, which would be about 315RWHP on a dyno. Get it on a dyno and post up your slips.
Our trucks are boat anchors. If you want to get around a L you have to have quite a bit more pull than the L.
