How do the superchips work, can you adjust them when you want, or what???
Iam very impressed with my Superchips. Yes you can change the settings as many times as you want. Takes about 10 minutes to program. It has the option to always go back to stock, 87octane economymode, 91 performance, and 91 performance tow. And in each mode you are able to adjust the rev limiter, shift points, tire diameter, top speed limmiter (to 140MPH). I run mine on 91 perf. with default shift points and the rev limit at6,150 RPM, and I,m getting as good or better gas milage than stock with a very noticable increase in power and shifting. Plus it just sounds so sweet with the intake and excaust & the Superchipswhen you step on it[sm=smiley20.gif]
do any of you know if it is harmful to keep the program on your truck (either on the 87 or 91 octane setting) or have had any bad luck w/ it? i plan to get a superchips and keep the program on as long as its not tearing anything up, i don't have any kind of warranty (not like it was worth anything to begin w/). is the tow mode better than the perf mode? i like torque more than hp. i do take it off road quite a bit. thanks for the info
Wont hurt a thing to keep it on there, mines been on a year now with no problems at all.The Flashpaq increases torque more so that HP,you can go to their web site and view a dyno chart that will show you the increases, The Flashpaq is also readily upgradeable via your home computer. All you have to do is plug it into the USP port and navigatefrom theirweb site. Even in the 87 octane economy mode the truck will run better than stock! Its money well spent!
