I think one is plastic and one is metal/chrome right?

go with plastic, won't get as hot and defeat the purchase of the CAI.

But, if you're all about the bling.. get the chrome on!

Just installed my Airaid cold air intake and I love it, gained .23seconds in 1/4 mile and it sounds awsome.

Very poor return for the $ spent on aftermarket air intakes.

If you do a careful test
you will find that in the
1500-3500 rpm range where most driving is done
all the aftermarket air intake does
is make extra noise.

Money spent on the exhaust system will yield real gains
and a slight improvement in MPG.

It is always your choice:
join the suckers wasting money
or do real mods that get real gains.

many aftermarket air intakes tested on a dyno by independent 5.7 Hemi owners:
