I have the Viper remote start / alarm system, It cost $1000.00 cad installed. To me it's worth it because I work in northern Alberta, Canada and it sure is nice climbing into a nice warm truck in the morningwhen its minus 35 degrees. I also like the fact that I can leave my truck running with no keys in it and not have to worry weather or not it's going to be there when I get back.

i have the autostart alarm starter combo and it cost 620CAD and it is definatly worth it to me. i got my power locks hooked up and the remote lets me know if the doors lock or unlock, when it starts, and if the alarm was set off if you are in range of the remote working. although gas milage went way down.
