Wow! I have never heard of that many problems with a CTD.I guess everyone makes a lemon every now and then! Look at the bright side, with all that replaced the truck ought to last 20 more years! Sorry to hear of your rotten luck with your Dodge.Have you tried to get the truck replaced under your states lemon law?

Love the fords. In a bad accident and wife didnt want a ford at the moment. The dodges are great, just not the luxery of the king ranchs. I will probably go back when the 08 ford comes out. I am still debating.

Drove mostly Chevy's until my first Dodge Truck purchase, a 95 1500 Sport Regular Cab. Great Truck with no problems at all the whole time I owned it. Ended up selling it and buying my 02 1500 QC. Needed the quad cab for the family. No problems with this truck at all and I still have it. Just got my 3rd Dodge Truck (2007 2500 QC) a few days ago!! No plans on going anywhere other than Dodge, I'm perfectly happy where I'm at.

i am not really partial to any manufacturer. bought the dodge ram purely for its looks and the way it drove when i test drove it. ive had many cars and they were for the most part all pretty good to me ( except the pontiac i just got rid of it was a pos.2001 grand prix.) to each his own ,though we all have our own opinions. anyways The ram is my second dodge, my first car when i was 16 was a dodge daytona turbo lol. Im still yound and have many years ahead of me so im sure i will own many more cars. im only 23 now.

I'm an owner of an '06 Ram 1500 QC, Hemi w/MDS.
I've had driveline vibration since new, Jun '06, the dealer has installed 3 DSs, all with aprox 1/8" to 3/16" deflection , although being balanced, I still have the vib. The factory rep states, "its called "Drone" and is caused by the torque converter lock up."
Other things have been done to try and isolate and remedy it to no avail as yet. I've posted my concerns elswhere in the Dodge Forum along with others.I like the truck, have been a Dodge "person for many years. I like the respect "we," ownersget when driving them. Its just too bad these "techie" factory reps. and "factory trainedpeople" can't find the cause...readily, with the tires/wheels having been eliminatedas beingthe cause.
Happy new year to all!

Was a Ford F-150 owner for the last 25 years (7 or 8 XLT's 4x4's). NEVER had any machanical problems with any of them. They towed all my boats and always got me home every night. What pissed me off was the day back in October 06' when I walked into the Local Stealership (Stevens Ford, Long Island, NY) to purchase a 06 XLT 4x4 and not one of the sales leaches even picked their head up to acknowledge my presents ( No Good Morning, can I help you, Drop dead...Nothing). I walked next door to the Dodge Dealer (Brown Dodge, L.I, NY) and walked out with a $38000.00 Ram 1500 QC 4x4 Truck.
Love the Dodge....Just hope it holds-up!

I had bad experience with GM so I knew I wasn't going to buy a GM. My family on mine and my wife's side is all Ford as far as truck and SUV's go. My wife/s grand mother reired from Ford after 33 years. I was going to buy a F-150, but Dodge had the better deal and better looks. My truck was great, up until I sold it so my wife and I could have more room for the family. We ended up getting a 2006 Jeep GC Overland. Best SUV we've ever had.

I'm going to get another truck in about 2 years. I'm not sure if I'll go Ford or Dodge. As long as Dodge keeps making the Megacab, I think I'll go that way.
