Default F150vsRam 1500

I have an 03 Ram with the 5.7l i got my mods listed in my signature. and i raced an 04 F150 with the 5.4l triton super crew or what ever they call it same as a QC. we stopped in the middle of the highway and had a dead even race and someone to do the count down for us. right of the start he got a jump on me but once my rpms got up there i passed him before it shifted to second. the ford was completly stock and it had 11900km my truck has 104000km. the ford was closer than i thought it would be i'd like to race a 2000 or something with the extended cab 5.4l.

My brother hasan 05 F-150 with the 5.4L, pretty much the same specs as my 04 Ram. I wasted him. I drove his truck and it pulls good from a start but feels like it just runs out of breath at higher RPM's.

The Ford may have locked stock, but Because Ford Detunes the 5.4 out of the box, a lot Of F-150 owners are playing in the aftermarket to stay even in the real world, even than Ford owners on F-150 Forums complain that the F-150 needs more power.

The negative on the 04+ F-150 is that the F-150 is a fat basterd and what improvements Ford says with the 3V per cy design and variable valve timming are offset buy the extra 500 Lbs + whieght of the truck.

the 260 H/P 5.4 in a pre 04 F-150 performs better ( if the spark plugs stay in the head ) than the 04+ 3V 5.4.

And Ford has a4sp auto Dodge a 5sp auto, on the top end the 5sp is all the differance.

I have a 06 ram 1500 qc 4x4, superchip and cai. Raced my wifes cousin's 06 f150 2wd no mods 4 door (real short bed) and I killed it once my tires stopped spinning. The one thing they have is traction control otherwise I kill him every time he tries to step up.

No joke my buddy has a 2000 and it blew out about 3 plugs in the past year, so he had to take it to the dealership and they installed completely new heads. I wonder what is in store for him next year.
