Would the same problem apply to the trac-loc diffs? I'm about to change my r&p and I guess now would be a good time to change the diff.

The problem is only with the LSD's... Open diffs are pretty basic, nothing to them.. There are no problems with the open diffs.

Does this problem still exist on the 2007s? I can put in a aftermarket LSD or even a selectable locker, but I don't want to I just paid for a factory LSD! It's still under warranty, but I hate the hassle. Also, is there any symptom that can give me a warning if any of the retaining clips areor have fallen off without opening up the diff for a look? I'm pretty much guessing no, but I'm no axle expert...

Does this apply to the Tru-Lok Power Wagon diffs as well?

Yes, both of these trucks with the same issue had the factory TracLok in them.

I doubt it. I don't think that the Powerwagon lockers use any kind of clutch disc type of material, thereforeI don't think they use clips like the TracLok. I know my Detroit uses gears, instead of clutches. So far so good.
