Default Need a set of wheel locks

Who makes some good ones? I had a set of Gorilla on a previous car and wasn't real impressed.

Default RE: Need a set of wheel locks

Having just plunked down over $2K for a set of wheels and tires I can identify with your wanting locks. However a few years back I asked a buddy who ran a wheel / tire speacialty shop in town who demonstrated why they are useless. He put a common lock lug on a junker they had in back then proceeded to pound a socket that was slightly too small on, then just wrenched it off. He also said theives who aren't that smart would often just find a why to break the lug...either by whackin' it with a hammer if accesible or undoing the rest of the lugs then just brute forcing the wheel 'till the lug broke. After watching / listening to this I learned that locking lug nuts do little more than keep the honest honest, and otherwise are a pain in the butt if you loose the key...just my $00.02 worth...

If you recognize their limitations, but still want a set anyway, go to eBay and search for Dodge RAM wheel locks. Pick the Dodge OEM from McGard. That's what I did. Paid around $30--if I remember correctly. They have nice caps that make the locks look almost like the stock lug nuts. Also, the key uses the same 22mm socket size as the OEM lug nuts.
