My SRT8

RE: My SRT8 in the running for TOTY 07?
I actually picked up the SRT-10 replica's off ebay from a user named "wheelsatasteal." I'm out of town right now I don't have my file with me, but if recall, they were appx $1200 shipped. The Nitto's I purchased online from Discont Tire Direct on sale for appx $800 total with stems and warranty. Both purchases went well and I received the wheels/tires within days of ordering them.
The wheels are 22x10 and easily fit the 305s. With the stock brakes they came exactly flush with the side of the fenders and looked sharp. With the addition of the Brembos , which was a complete PITA for installation and fitment, I had to space the fronts a full inch which pushed the edge of the tire appx an inch out from the fender well. It's not completely noticeable, but I like the fit pre-brake upgrade. It just looked more smooth.
The rims are one piece forged, and triple chromed. I'll have to check my file for manufacturer name and load index. I know it was a no-name manufacturer like "oem replica," but the wheels are solid and I would recommend them.
I wouldn't, however, recommend going one-up on the tire size. I went 305/45/22 vs 305/40/22 that the stock SRT10 comes with. I have slight rubbing issues on full-stop, tight turns.

That is a very nice truck and it is obviouse that you put alot of work into it with all the upgrades and modifications you put into it. With that being said there are a few things I dont really like that I would have done differently if I was in your shoes. First and for most I would have invested in the 6.1L HEMI and do an engine swap.I like the front end, looking at it head on it looks sick but when you look at it from the side the fron doesn't match anything behind it, the rest of the truck looks bare in comparison. I'd look into finding the rest of the body kit that goes with that bumper. I think either the srt10 skirt or the daytona skirt should set it off nicely. And lastly I would have debadged it completely instead of adding more badges to it or even if you wanted to keep those badges I would suggest spacing them out more and place them on your tailgate if possible. Where they are out right now it just seems way to crowded and doesn't match the slick look of the truck. Again I'm not saying you did a horrible job cause it looks nice and you personalized it to fit what you wanted with it and no one can really tell you otherwise. I'm just saying a few suggestions that I would have done differently if I was in your shoes. All in all nice truck.....

I did consider the 6.1 swap, but the truck has 3000 miles on it and, obviously, plenty of life left on the engine.
As far as upping the performance, I'm first on the list for the Banks twin-turbo -- and if that doesn't come in 2007, Kenne Belle has my eye. Until then, I'm happy with where I'm at.
I agree that the sides look bare in comparison to the bumper - good eye 151. I'm in the market for a body kit, but certainly won't risk looking like an effin rice rocket when it's complete. If anyone knows of a good body kit, let me know.

Thanks for the additional wheel information; I tried the ebay site you mentioned and had 'no luck'? Maybe you can suggest another site or source.
I will purchase the OEM Speedline SRT - 10wheels if necessary however if yours are a close equivalent as they appear to be for about 25% of the OEM cost - they are sure worth a serious look.

i think i would have done a lot of engine work on it before any of that stuff but it does look nice. i like the headlights and the badging. i dont care for the taillight covers or the window visor things. the mirrors look ok and the door handles look ok. i wouldnt change them if i were you. and as said already i think a body kit should definantly be the next thing you do. then 6.1 cams, ported and polished 6.1 heads, and 6.1 intake, electric fan mod, turbo system and forged internals, with a set of 4.56 gears in the back should make it a killer. not sure how many ponies youll be puttin down with that setup but it should be quite a bit.
