Default THE V6 3.7

This is my first time actually having a dodge longer than 2 weeks. Before I had my crew cab V6 dodge I hadtwo chevys a 4.8 and a 5.3 both step sides. After I wrecked my 5.3 I got my 4.8 I put an *** load of money into that truck to make it fast. Then in 04 I traded my 02 4.8 for a HEMI regular cab. That truck was no were near as fast as my old chevys. Now that Im 23 and have a 04 crew cab 3.7 Im pretty happy. For the size and the comfort, you get a hell of a deal. The truck is no were near being fast but it holds it own. From what I read that you guys are saying about how wimpy the truck is, the dodge V6 has the most power out of chevy, and ford. For me my truck pulls my boat and my toy haller like a champion. Am I missing something important about this engine? Not being a dick but, hey it does the job and by the way I got a Magnaflow dual dump by the axel and it sounds bad ***. Please let me know if Im going to experience some kind of lossof emotion over this truck as time goes on.

I also have the V6.. It is alright. After putting 20's on it, and seeing the milage it gets i'd rather have the 4.7. But hey, you get what you can. I don't think that a full size truck should have a V6 but oh well. If you like it right now, and still, then i'm sure you will like it!!!

Glad you like it. All I can say is I'll never own another v6 Ram. But when you turn 16 and get a brand new Ram, you shouldn't/can't be picky. As far as gas mileage, I have seen nothing higher than 11mpg!!!

I KNOW IT'S TERRIBLE!!!! It just sucks. I drive to school everyday and only stop about 5 times, and to get back up to speed it's only 25 mph! If I would have known I would only be getting 11mpg, I would have begged dad for the Hemi! [sm=sigh.gif]

PourtugeePride, You said that the v6 pulls your boat like a champ........what is the length of that boat? My truck barely pulls my two jet ski's, even with one being a stand up. The two jet skis with trailer is probably only 1300 pounds. So there is no way it could pull my dad's 30' Spectrelike a champ.... [sm=boohoo.gif]

The 3.7 is just a 4.7 derivative (minus 2 cyl)
