Default new bumper

ok so ever since ive had my license ive had a few dents in my front bumper. i went to the dealer today and talked to the parts guy and he said that he could get me the chrome part of the bumper for $560 and the airdam for $120. my dad said he thought it could be found cheaper but ive searched and havent found anywhere that has them. according to the parts guy the bumper is several different pieces, not all one piece like i though. i just need the chrome lower portion of the bumper and the airdam, not the whole thing, so is this a reasonable price? ebay isnt an option.

my dad suggested getting someone to bang the dents out which would work and theres lots of body shops around here but with chrome there is no guarantee that it wont crack. he said if it did crack i could take it and have it rechromed but i dont know of anyone around here that can do it and it sounds like an expensive process.

what do yall think would be the best route to take?

try taking a look around on www.dodgeparts.com they have a mechanical and body catalog so you can serch for parts that pertain to your certain vehicle, it's always been pretty helpful (IMO) when i've been looking for something...good luck man

You know what I've been looking for a black bumper for my truck for2 years. Good luck with the search, sometimes they are hard to find, especially if it's painted

well i only need the chrome part and if i can get a whole bumper for it that isnt painted i would just pay the dealership to paint it.

hemiram17, could you post or PM me pics of the bumper and tell me where it is. i could pay him and pay to have it shipped or i could drive and pick it up if its close enough to me. if you could get pics for me i would appreciate it. just get some from different angles and get a few showing how big the dent is. thanks in advance!

are you opposed to an after market bumper? I would take the opportunity to get something new probably or go to a junk yard and try and find sport bumpers for it.

i thought about a sport bumper as they are cheaper but then to replace the chrome grille surround and the chrome rear bumper would be more expensive.

ghetto cowboy--does the bumper have the spots for fog lights in it? if you could send me pics and give me a price. also where at in texas do you live? im in texas also so i could possibly drive to meet you.
