Hey Foiled,
If you don't mind me asking, other than the K&N, what other performance mods do you have? Maybe we can get some insight on something else that might be causing the problem and someone from the board can help you.

The 2nd thing you could try is posting a message at the Flashpak forum and seeing what everyone else is doing about this problem.

BTW, back on topic, I have had my SC for a couple of weeks now and love it. It is real easy to use, internet updated, and from my understanding, you can download custom programs to suit your needs/wants. I haven't had any problems with my unit although, again, I add that I only had my unit a couple of weeks.

No other mods, I have held off because of this problem.

I have talked to the SC support on the phone and on the boards. They all say they same thing and they tell anyone with this problem the same thing. They blame it on MDS and will offer a refund. But it only happens on some trucks.

If I was a betting man I woul bet that is what is taking the 07 program so long. I think the 06 trucks built late in 06 have this problem and the 07's are having the same. My truck was built in the 3rd quarter of 06 so it is pretty much an 07.

Off topic but where exactly do the car manufacturers claim the quarters of the year? I mean it's not even mid 2007 and I am hearing about the 2008's. The military has a Fiscal Year from October through September. So 1 October 2007 will start 1st Quarter FY 2008.

They do pretty much what they want. Most try to get the next year autos out by mid fall sometime for the holiday season. You will always here about the next year autos early because they always have the ideas but need more time to implement them into the factory and plans. They need to find the cheapest way to do everything. This is why at autoshows, you here all the time, This car will be available sometime in the next 4 - 10 years. We know it is going to be made, just do not know when. They want to make it but need to find the cheapest way to do it. Same reason that they make concept cars. They show us that they have the know how to build a 700 horsepower, 50 MPG, spacious car, but will not put it into production because they can not make it cost affective to the consumer market.
