Default 4 pin wiring?

What do I do to wire in the 4 pin connector for the trailer? I got a 4 pin connector with wires hanging off of it, not the simple adaptor. So I assume I need to attach those wires to something...

Forget it... I just read the piece of paper witih the wires that I thought were to a 4 pin connector. It is really for electric brakes..

Does anyone know how much a 7 to 4 adaptor is?

I have seen the 7 pin to 4 pin connectors selling for around $7.00 at several places online. I don't know how much a Dodge dealer would charge, but I have also seen the Mopar connector for this at around $14.95 online. I doubt that it is any better than the others.

WalMart probably still sells this connector, I have also saw them there. If you got the towing package with your truck when you bought it, I'm surprised it did not come with it. When I bought my truck all the connectors came with it, but Dodge has probably cut costs since then and quit including all of them.

I was suprised too... My liberty came with the adaptor. Hell, the are even cutting floor mats out of the trucks to save money.

I got the towing package on my truck, and I bought the converter to get to the 4 pin. After this while poking around the underside by the spare, I noticed there is a 4 pin connector down there already. (it cannot be seen from standing behind the truck)

Maybe you already have a 4 pin and don't know it. (like i did)

Yeah, mine has the 4 pin under the bed, behind the bumper. Between the bumper and the tailgate I have pass through hole to run the trailer wiring if needed. Give'er another look.
