Default Question about putting aftermarket navigation into Ram 2500 Laramie with factory navigation

is there a direct aftermarket navigation replacement for the factory navigation? reason i ask is because the factory one does not have touch screen and a customer really wants one with a touch screen so i told him the best option would be to go aftermarket. he just wants something that directly goes into where the factory navigation system is so it can't be the flip out kind. we're hoping to accomplish this with the least amount of modification possible to the bezel around it or the dash. TIA.

Sorry there is no direct replacement navigation system, especially aftermarket. I have installed a Pioneer navigation system in my truck and absolutly love it. Good luck

kenwood offers 3 different "double din" screens. You can go to Kenwoods website and look at the 6019 P-NAV, that is a dvd,cd,MP3, nav system it is an awesome system i have it in my 06 ram it will fitbut you will need a dash kit to mount it in there.

I had the factory navigation system installed in my '07 Ram....not the one that fits in the radio slot, but the one that fits in a molded pod on top of the dash ($1300 vs. $2300). It's a Garmin Navus unit, and operates via a touch screen.

I use DeLorme software on a laptop
Bigger screen and easier to read
Better mapping.
Easier to use.
