i myself have wondered this.. do ya have actual dyno graphs that show improvment? so if the ebay ones dont work, wuts the diff. on the ones you make at home?

 

if you check out dodgetruckworld.com the intakes section has many guys who did it. basically for the intake to work you must draw air from a cooler area from the engine, same reason ram air works. Then have a free flowing smoth tube to the throttle body. 4 inch pvc and pvc elbows do the trick. I do not have dyna graphs but an understanding of intakes and where to draw the air from and how to do so will make you an efficient intake.

 

Oh no the Ebay ones dont work?? I paid $40 for mine haha and it seems to work pretty good. Its got nice chromed tubing and a washable/reusable filter. Only thing it needs is hangers, I got it strung up with zip ties haha.
