NOT BRAND'S, BUT THE BASIC ADD ONS, INTAKE etc..., does a aftermarket exhaust really make a diff.? I'm new to the truck scene, considering a GIBSON exhaust and a intake kit , anything else ?, what about those TB spacer's, I've read about the chips and microtuners, I'll wait on that till there's some concrete facts.thanx.

I don't have the exhaust yet, but a CAI made a big difference in my 4.7 (KNN). I've never heard anyone say they were unhappy after doing exhaust. Except with the sound. But that's all personal preference.

As for a TB, it depends who you ask. I put one on before my CAI and noticed an increase in power. And even better response with both. I have a manual and am climbing hills in 2nd gear where before I had to be in 1st. I have yet to try it with just the CAI and no TB. Might do that when it's warm enough up here to work on the truck again. So you'll find those who swear by them, and those who swear at them.

I'm itching to get my hands on a programmer. Superchips in particular. There seems to be a general recommendation that if you do anything to your truck, get a programmer.

only prob is depending on what year truck you have, superchips may not make a programmer for your truck....i.e. mine is a 2004 quad cab 1500 with 4.7 and manual....no programmer for that year.
