Default Toyota has done it again!!

once again toyota has managed to take a good looking dodge vehicle, chop it up, put a crappy badge on it, and call it something different....introducing the crewmax http://www.autoblog.com/photos/toyota-tundra-crewmax/

To be honest, I'm liking the new Tundra and GMC pickups more and more and more. I have the best of praise for my 06 2500 Ram, when the time came to replace the 04 F-150, thier was nothing new or inovative on the market, so I what back to the basics and budget with my Ram.

It is not realistic for me to trade in my Ram, and the negative opion and poasting of product pics are free advertising for the Tundra....Odd how negative thoughts can spin into positive for a brand...That is not a Dodge....

u gotta admit though, they really ripped off the dodge design with that one, the v8 badge is even in the same place, and just look at the grille, i think ur liking the other brands more and more because they are modeling their trucks after dodge, dont they all have bigger grilles then before?, and more power??

Every truck on the market is a copy cat of some sort, Ford on the 04 copied Dodge with the grill built into the hood and clear lens cover with Amber turn signals, a lot of parts on trucks built in the states are supplied by the same company, just built to the brands specs.

but do they gotta put the badge in the exact same place......thats going a little far....it also seems like dodge always makes a winning look, then everyone else follows as dodge is making a new look that soon everyone else will also follow, hence the point of the post....the megacab and the crewmax

I don't think it is really copying the Dodge by putting the V8 badge in the same place. Didn't Chevelle's and Camaro's of the 60's and 70's have their V8 badging on the front fender as well? I don't think it is copying, where else would you put the V8 badge? On the side of the rear door? or above the rear fender? That just doesn't make sense.

I second liking the new look of the GMC's and Chevrolet's.. They are actually very classy yet agressive looking trucks, just as the Dodge is. I think GM is moving in the right direction. I don't know however, about Toyota. The new Tundra is a miss in my eyes.

I'm not sure on 0-60 times but edmunds said their 1/4 time is 14.81. So basically, a rcsb hemi ram with superchips is comparable to one. I'm not worried.

I am sure that the tundra is going to be a fast truck I have no doubt about that. I do think that the american truck market will always dominate in true full size pickup use, Loading, towing hauling and all around durability. Technology is great but old american power is tested reliability and power.
