Hi All.. Does anyone have some real life estimated on what I can expect for gas mileage for a new 2006 Hemi quad cab 4x4 truck.. I am closing the deal on either this truck or a Chevy 2500 with a 6.0lt,

 

I get about ~13mpg city (empty) and have seen 16mpg freeway (empty)......hauling or towing will pull it down a little lower. I absolutely love this truck by the way....best truck I've ever had.

 

i will be honest, gas with the chevy 6.0 and the hemi are about the same
we have an 01 seirra 2500hd w/ the 6.0 and it does about 12-14, and the 04 escallade does about 14 on a good day
we have had alot of problems with our 01 since the begining, stupid stuff too, like cracked flywheel at 68k, and dumb cosmetic issues, but it depends, the 2500hd has an amazing an payload, the other thing too is are you looking at a 1500 ram or 2500?
my personal opionon, drive both and get a good feel for the trucks, look at everythign that is important to you in the truck and wiegh out the pros and cons

i broke the trend and went with dodge, and i wont lie.... i am very pleased with the dodge trucks, i plan on keeping mine well over 100k, and if i were to upgrade, well.... u guessed it, another dodge
as for the family members who hae the gm products, the love my dodge and are looking into maybe getting a ram for the next work truck,

 

Do you need a quad cab? and Do you like manaul's? My 06 2500 reg cab 4x4 5.7 6sp 373 ltd slip can pull 20 mpg highway ( empty ) at 60 Mph.....
