I will be needing an oil change soon, and was wondering about the following:

1. What oil filter to use? I don't remember what i bought last time, it may have been an OReilly's brand. I am looking now at their prices, theres is $3.29, there are two Wixs (51085 $4.99, 51085MP $5.49), 2 Frams (PH16 $3.69, HM16 $6.99) and a K&N HP2004 for $11.99. What the heck is the difference beside price?

2. For an air filter they have the FRAM CA9401 $17.99, WIX 42725 $21.99, K&N 33-2247 $56.99. I was thinking of getting the K&N because it is re-usable. Will this be cheaper in the long run? Is there some sort of cleaner and/or recharger needed?

 

yes the KaN air filter is better in the long run and you can get the recharger kit also
on question #1 use the fram wont void warranty and is a worldwide known name
and great quality as well for the $$

 

Presently, i use Fram TG-16 which is pretty good thus far. But at my next oil change I'll be switching to K&N.
