Default After market air intake systems ?

I've heard some convincing advertisements, and know only one guy (my brother) who owns one. He hasaK & N system on a 3/4 ton Suburban (not a Dodge I know but it's nice) power everything, leather, etc. Anyway I'm looking at a AEM Brute Force system for my '06 2500 Quad cab Hemi. Anyone know anything, good or bad ?

Be smart, make your own. Make it look good. They work just as well. Save the bucks. Use the bucks for more go fast goodies.

If you cant make your own as Jetpig advises, you can get them alot cheaper on ebay.

I have the brute force on my '03 hemi and love it. Gained 1-2 mpg, sounds amazing, and helped throttle response just a bit. And it looks a lot nicer than the stock junk in there.

Just ordered a Volant for mine. Had one on my '02 5.9 and it made a difference. Can't wait to see what it does for the Hemi. Looks awesome too by the way.

I'm thinking about getting this (click) K&N kit. I can get it for $220 shipped and it's onlyillegal in CA, but even if I do drive my truck into Cali is a cop going to pull me over for "suspicion of driving with K&N 63-1529 installed?" I know that dyno chart data can be manipulated to show favor one way or the other, but at least they have data. What do you guys think?

I have the cheap intake (chrome intakes?) off ebay and it works just fine.
I couldnt see spending the money on the name brands, and really from all the posts I have read,
they dont really add any hp anyway.
Sure does sound good though!
