How do you powerbrake?
The best way to do a burn out is as follows;
pull around the water box,then back the rear wheels into it(this keeps water from the front wheels from driping on the track) engage the line lock,give the vehicle gas untill the tires are smoking,then release the line lock.Accellerate through first gear,then shift into second.Come to a stop,then back up to the pre stage line!
simple,right?

You only need to apply the brakes hard enough to keep the truck from moving while you slowly apply the throttle.
If you hold the brakes too hard you will overheat the rear brakes.
Bring it up untill the back tires start spinning and then a little more. Work the brake pedal accordingly.
Then mash the throttle when they are spinning good and let up on the brake.
The linelock thing will work well too, but, you have to have it installed and I'm guessing that you want to do this on the street and not on the track where there is a waterbox.
Keep in mind that tire spinning is all show and not go for vehicles that are not heavily modified.
At the track I powerbrake and slowly add throttle to just before the tires spin. This heats up the turbo. Then mash it and let go of the brakes when its time to go.

or you could do it like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGp1OYZbd9M. this is the easiest way, but first you have to blow the front end, so you can use 2lo. then when you use 2 lo, you can blow the rearend, like i did.
doing it in an auto trans...keep it in first, easy on the trans. hell i just mash it in my truck and they rip all they way up to redline no problem running on stock 275/55/20's superchip exhaust and intake is niceee hahaha.
