2002 Dodge Ram Makes Noise When Turning
Hi
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab...4.7 engine. It has 130,000 miles on it. This week it started making a whining, or humming noise when I turn. It seems to only happen when it's cold. After it has warmed up it's OK. It also seems to only happen when I make a sharp turn to the right. Any ideas what my problem may be.
Thanks,
Marc

My 03 did that during sharp slow turns. Like a rubbing sound coming from the rear of the truck. I took it to the dealership and had it checked out. It was something to do with the clutches or clutch platesin the rear end not slipping properly or something like that. They repaired the rear end, has been fine since.
I have the exact same truck with about 7,000 more miles. Mine started doing that too so I put some power steering fluid in it and it went away. I have a leak but it's gonna have to wait to get fixed until the temperature here gets above -40F
