There is an active safety recall on the ABS module. Make sure they take care of that before delivery.
About 25% of modules are bad, and need replacing.

Hey guys...been looking for a PW for about oh....a couple days now...figured best place to start lookin was here! I saw one near me on eBay for 31K with 700 miles on it, it is an 06...but I'd be 2nd owner. Thought it was a good deal until I saw this thread!

Anyway...how do I go about checking dealer inventory without having to call? Seems no one lists a Ram as a Power Wagon...just 2500 SLTs. What gives there? Any tricks I need to know? Or are they all sold out and I'm SOL until next season?

Thanks!

Sam

Except for the mileage, that may be an OK deal. Check one of the on-line car pricing guides and you will see that the price listed that "everyone pays" is in the 40K range. I got a new 2007 PWQC with 63 miles on the clock for just over 37K including, KB value on my trade-in. This included having the dealer pay to trailer the vehicle 160+ miles from another dealer, as I did not want some kid doing the "break-in" for me.

PW's are fairly hard to come by on lots. I checked a couple dealers that I knew had '06's but they're gone, I knew of them thru word of mouth so to speak. The only wayI know of is to builda PWon the Dodge site with a zip code and then do find the vehicle. It'll give you inventory at different dealers around the zip code. Pretty time consuming, I would think.
Seems no one lists a Ram as a Power Wagon
Yes they do, doing the above search will pop it up as a PW, there just aren't very many on lots. You may look at 50 different dealers, both '06 or '07, and turn up none.
are they all sold out
Not necessarily "sold out", the dealer 3 blocks from my house has never ordered one for their lot, and consequently, have sold none. You can order one though, my take 6 weeks to get.

Thanks DCX...big help. I plugged in all the zip codes I've lived in my entire life...turned up one 06, emailed the dealer today and it was sold months ago. Guessing the websites don't always update.

I'll keep looking and if worse comes to worse, order. 6 weeks ain't that bad...might take me that long to find one on a lot!

Go for it! I love my Power Wagon. I would do it all over again if I had to. Good luck!
