Ready to close deal on 06' leftover power wagon...good deal??
I found a 06' leftover QC power wagon that stickers for $46,500 and I can get it for $34,000. Also, the dealer is throwing (at no additional cost) a brand new set of Toyo open country M/T's 35X12.50X17 and changing out all fluids (engine, front/rear diffs) to synthetic for me....because I told him I wanted that done where the vehicle has been at the dealer for almost 1 1/2 years. It is white w/sunroof, Navi, power rear slider, power pedals, etc. The build date is 07/05 and it currently has 225 miles on the odometer. The manager states that it does not have a disclosure statement of any kind nor has it ever been in service for repair work. Bottom line he said, is the truck hasnt moved because people wont pay that for a truck when they can get a cummins for the same price. Anyway, I am getting it $250 below EP price minus $5500 rebate and Toyo tires/fluid changes for $34K. And, he is giving me $4,000 more than ANYONE else. Its almost a too good to be true deal. But, he assures me that there are no catches and my warranty will NOT start until tomorrow and will begood from 2-2-07 through 2-2-10 and 36,225 miles. Is there anything I should know about the early build date 06' PW's?? Any TSB's? Whats everything think about the deal?? Thanks
Paul

I love driving my Power Wagon. The original sticker on my PW was 42,000. Base radio w/ satellite, rubber mat flooring, HD vinyl seats. It's sort of a stripper, but it's also more suitable for heavy use, which I like a bunch.
225 miles on a new truck? That's ALOT of test drives, unless they moved it around the lot every day. How do they explain the miles?
Mine stickered at $45,770 msrp, paid $34K back in April of '06. Had about 20 miles on the odo.
I would hold out for a fresh 2007 model and still pay only mid $30k range.
If that 2006 has been sitting at the dealership that long, they should unload it for under $34k.
The 35's are a pretty good incentive, but make sure theyinclude the sparetire as well as reprogram the computer and abs moduleto correct the speedo, etc.
