You may find that over time, the "chrome clad" wheels maintain their shine and are less maintenance than chrome wheels. And as you may have discovered, the wheels are not the only parts of your Ram which are chrome clad abs plastic.

With all the salt and crap we have here on the road I'm happy to have the chrome clad...I wasn't thrilled at first but it's a hell of a lot better then watching chrome rust/pit. So far after 2 winters there's no ill effect on the cladding from the salt on the roads. As for brake dust...haven't had any issues with it building up on the wheels.
