Remote Keyless Entry Horn Honk
My dealer quickly eliminated the honk, chanded my locks to all unlock and told the computer i have fog lights... no charge... the service mgr said, "You can thank Benz for these can-bus additions... everything is hooked in to the computer..."
well heres what it says in the 2004 ram service manual, i dont know if it's different from the owners manual cause i didnt want to go outside and look.
1. get in truck and close all doors
2. turn ignition to on position
3.press and hold LOCK button for 4 seconds. Within 6 seconds with the LOCK button still depressed, press the UNLOCK button. When a single chime is heard, release both buttons.
4.Turn ignition OFF
5. turn ignition on or wait 60 seconds
6.verify by pressing LOCK button
if chime is not heard in step 3, program mode was canceled before feature could be disabled. repeat procedure.
to ENABLE horn chirp, repeat the above steps
hope that helps, maybe owners manual didnt have one of those steps or something

my horn honk was off and it was enjoyable but then the ol' lady turned it on cause she thinks its cool, and if i turn it back off it will be right back on when i get home from work. yay!

I just tried the instructions in the manual to disable the horn chirp, and they didn't work for me. However, I was able to set the remote to unlock all 4 doors on the first press. So at least something worked. I guess I need to bring the Ram by the dealer for the chirp.
