call me crazy????
I drove about 7k miles on my 35" tires with 3.55 gears with my 4.7.. The only thing that hurt was the price of gas at about 8mpg.. Now with the 4.56's I can get upwards of 15mpg on the highway and about 12 around town. Gears are a must, but nothing is going to happen to your tranny. That was a problem on the older trucks, but with a lot of the new trucks coming out with 20" wheels and bigger stock, the tranny's can take it without a problem. Have fun on your trip.
^^^ I doubt even that much loss. Although it depends on care. If ur doing burnouts and driving like a maniac on large tires then maybe. but if you are sensible then you shouldn't have a problem.
We'll made it home from my trip in one piece, RAM was awesome, love the sound on highway flying past the others. Only used tank and half going down. (519 miles) 19.3 mpg, cruising on 75 mph. get there some retard steals my antenna now I'm mad but can't do any thing but by a new. So I do, then wife goes to put gas and breaks Bully Gas door magnet now I'm pissed but I still love her. Coming back used the pedal the whoile way burned more gas (2 full tanks)but beat the Mustang before he slowed down going about 105 mph. Definitely will take it back for bike week
