Default Carpet Replacement

I hate having carpet in my truck. Does anyone know where you can buy a premolded floor liner. I don't mean Husky Liners either. I know these are good but I want to remove the factory carpet and drop in the good ole' rubber liner. If I can't find one thenI am considering going with the DIY roll on bed liner. Any one had any luck with this?

BTW- I am new to the forum and want to thank everyone for their honest input. I have spent quite a few hours reading thru the post and have learned quite a bit and look forward to putting my 2 cents in.

You might be hard pressed to find a liner that not only fits well, but fits well without the carpet. Most aftermarket liners I've seen are retrofit and just go over your carpet.

If you go with a bedliner product I think it might be wise to get it professionally sprayed in. Sprayed in liners build up faster (thickness) and look neater. DIY liners are usually thin and would allow much road noise to project into the cab.
Hope this helps.

I have a set of the black molded ones... and honestly, they are not worth it. I ended up going and getting the cheap rubber ones from Walmart. They fit just fine, and they match the interior color. Now the molded ones are just sitting in my garage under a set of heads

Good point on the road noise. Thanks for the input.

Have you tried looking under the carpet to see if the factory rubber liner is there?

If not, slush mats work pretty good. I have the rubber liner and still use slush mats in my truck.

Or you could take it to the dealership and see wht it would cost to have the carpet pulled and the rubber installed. I wouldn't trade for mine with the ease of clean-up and the road noise is not bad - not as quiet as the sound absorbing qualities of carpet and cloth but not deafening either.

No I haven't looked underneath. I may take a peak later. Don't the commercial models come with rubber? I haven't tried with this truck but on a Z71 I had I tried buying rubber from the dealer and it was way to expensive.

Mine is just an ST (work truck, base model or whatever you want to call it) and it came with it. You might try a salvage yard to see if you can find an ST and take the floor liner from it.
