Default DIY headers?

Hey all, i know im probably more then likely going to get flamed for this but i have a ton of questions. first off, im putting an 03 5.7L hemi into my 1986 chevy s10 mini truck. first things first, i havent been able to find a polyurethane trans mount, anyone that can give me a link as to where to get one thatd be awesome. second of all, does anyone make a header flange kit that you can make custom headers? and 3 is there anyone that is making any aluminum or sheetmetal intake manifolds for this motor? any help would be great and try keeping flaming me to a minimum.

I won't flame, I think that will be an awesome project, post some pictures when you are done because I hope to see that. Anyways, I can't help you but this forum may be able too. http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines....-id-544-n-hemiThe guys over there are much more performance oriented so they may be able to answer your questions. I hate to send people away from any forum and I know it makes some administrators and mods mad but I do it when people need to check out other places.

hey thanks alot, im glad some one thinks it will be cool. i got the whole motor, transmission, ecu, relay box, engine harness transmission x member and driveshaft for 500 bucks. i couldnt even find any small block chevys that complete for that cheap. the motors only got like 8000 miles on it, when i emptied the oil and tranny fluid it was perfectly clean and clear, the tranny fluid was like bright purple and the oil was goldish brown.

as of right now the truck has full airbag setup, 5/8 dot airline, lays frame and ive got tubular control arms, 4 linked rear, going with the 5.7 hemi, i think the truck without motor weighed about 1700 lbs. Reason for the header flange question is because i doubt the tubular headers will clear my suspension when i air out the truck. so thats why i need them flanges. and id like to get an aluminum intake, cold air intake or supercharge it eventually, port and polish the heads, which ill be doing myself and the coil packs i would like to change over to all msd ignition components. im wanting to do full 2.5 or 3" exhaust. hoping to have it be at least 350 hp...think thats capable in this truck, and also what you thinking im looking at for gas mileage?

what are good sounding mufflers to get? i would like to get some that are round cuz i dont have much room for case mufflers because i cant have any exhaust past the rear end, and i need them both to be right behind the cab on the pass side, kuz my gas tank is on the drivers side right behind the cab so i gotta make a y type exhaust that like bends the drivers exhaust tube to pass side, not connecting them but running the two separate pipes back on pass side with a x junction and then pipes extending to the back of the cab. i love flowmaster 40 series but they dont make those round, so i was thinking the dynatech bullets or the borla or magnaflow round mufflers, but i think magnaflows are a lil quiet, i just want it to be obnoxiousl loud, like not like have no mufflers like obnoxiously loud with mufflers and what not.

Sounds like an awesome project!
My Dad has a Mopar powered Ford, and we love blowing the doors off people who say"Why would you do that?"
Why? Becauase it makes it fast as Hell!

Its a 1962 Ford Falcon Conv., with a 30 over 440 Big Block with a 4 Speed. We call it the Fopar!
