when i lowered my truck and was replacing the front shocks, i just used a impact on em...make sure u take the top nut and get it lose before u remove the lower bolts...that will help
yeah I finely found that out, I held the stem and broke the nut loose, THANK YOU!! also any advise on how to remove the backones? Do I need to take off the splash guard to get to the top bolts?
If any of you have done the rear shocks please tell me your tricks if any, I would like to do them quick not like the front ones I ran into complications on, took me 3 hours to do the front ones

For the rears you can just unbolt them and pop them off. You can also thow a tie strap on them to keep them from immediately pushing out when you go to remove. Loop the tie strap around the entire shock, lengthwise, centering the strap (important) over the bushing ends.Make sure the strap is snugand just unbolt and remove the shock. The strap can also help with the install in pretty much the same way. Compress the shock so that the bushings line up with the mounts and install.
