Default Used the wrong tranny fluid

my wifes 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee calls for ATF+4

The jiffy lube receipt shows they used a Dexron III and a transmission additive.

Fluid change was done on march 2006 w/ 62k miles

the tranny is now acting up, Feb 07 w/ 74k miles.

if I can find a mechanic that says it's fluid related, think I have a claim against jiffy lube?

I used to be a manager at a lube center ur correct fluid is atf+4, or penzoil multi vehicle tranny oil anything else will damage ur tranny with time not right away. There is no additive I know about that will prevent this.Check out the penzoil site and jeep site also talk to Jeep service depatrment ask for advice its free. I own a Grand Cherokee so I know a little bit, try toget the number of general managers, don't bother with store managers. Hope the little bit of info helps.

damn ok ANYBODY that is going to use jiffy lube PLEASE PLEASE search them out on google!!! they have lawsuits and a bad rep since before i was born!!! From motors siezin to trannys failing they have succesfully done it all. its a lack of concern on the small touches that causes these problems ex. using the wrong tranny fluid. the horror stories are never ending!!! littterally hundreds of pages of complaints that were left un answered. really not the best way to save a buck imo but we all do it our own way.

not tryin to be an *** here but really wish you the best of luck gettin it fixed by them unless you know the manager or the district manager personally!
