is there any factory decks for the 05 ram that will play MP3 disk?? I dont wanna put an aftermarket deck in my truck but i want to be able to play MP3 disks.

You might try searching on eBay for Dodge radios. After 2 factory units failed to eject CDs, I abandoned the stock decks as hopeless failures and installed a Sony unit from Best Buy for $100 + $60 in installation parts. Plays and ejects every conceivable CD including MP3. You may want to reconsider you "only factory decks" policy.

 

i wanna keep it looking stock though, as soon as u add an aftermarket deck its like a magnet for theives

 

well i found one on ebay, its a stock indash 6 cd changer with mp3 capability

 

If it is designed to fit the 02-05 dash, then you get either 6 cd OR mp3, not both. The 06 and later square design (like the cars) has 6 cd/mp3 capable but will not fit right into the dash opening. I got 2 different RAH code factory mp3 cd players, one for my truck, one for my wife's Liberty. No problems, just gotta find one. Paid about $200 each, brand new. If you order it, its about $340-$400. Here's an example:

damnit!!! ya its kinda squarish..... i dont think its gonna fi, can i just change the dash besel to the 2006 model?

 

I was looking at that, because 6 mp3 cd's are better than 1, but I don't know, I'd hate to buy a dash bezel and not have it fit or work right. If I had the room I'd get the music keg, it's like a remote portable hard drive in many many GB's.

 

ya well the add on ebay said 04-07 dodge ram trucks it would fit so i didnt think it would be a problem.... im gonna be mad if it doesnt fit now or i cant make it fit anyways. i dont care about the 6 changer i just wanted mp3 at least

 

You know what they say.....if it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer!
