Default Stupid observation - dealership decals

I was driving behind this nice dakota the other day, decals on the tailgate, back window , new rims; the guy put some effot into his truck.

Then i notice in the bottom left hand corner of the tailgate - "AFFORDABLE AUTO .....blah blah"

i thought WTF, this decal didnt look like it would be that easy to take off.

Whatever vehicle i buy next, I think im gonna ask the dealer to remove their fckn advertisement. I could see it being a deal breaker for me on some of the nicer rides i would like to own.

anyone ever request a dealer take it off their decal - not sure if they would do it.

mine was easy enough to just peal off, but i have seen some out there that would require more effort.

As the kid from CarMax was putting on my license plates for me I peeled off their CarMax logo with the little 5 dashes below it off my tailgate. Then i handed him the vinyl and a couple bucks and said thanks.

I have always told the dealers pay me 100.00 bucks a month and ill let you put it on my vehicle, if not then dont put it on. That always does the trick.

Not stupid at all. I also wondered, these sons of "female dogs", on top overpricing me andlying to me, I have to advertise for them for free. Next time I buy a car I will definetely do what scox did. Or at least find it in the contract where it says that "I have to" and scratch it off. Those bastards.

If you ask them to take it off before they 'prep' it they will. Nothing worse than seeing a Dodge truck riding around with a "Your local crappy Toyota Dealership" sticker on the tailgate.

Dealer I bought mine from used licence plate frames instead of decals. Easiest logo I've ever taken off.

When I went in to negotiate/buy my truck new from the dealer, one of the conditions of sale was absolutely no dealership stickers, plates, advertisement of any kind on my new truck or I wouldn't take delivery of it. They sort of looked at me funny then said "NO Problem. I explained that I hate that sort of thing on vehicles. I inspected the whole truck carefully with the salesman right there when I went to take delivery--no advertisements---yea!!

I agree 100%. If the dealerships are going to put their name tags on your vehicle, to advertise, Let them pay a advertising fee.
I took my dealerships logo off immediately..........
